NO BANDING! Have you ever seen a print with streaks across it that interrupt the print quality and color? It is called "Banding" and it has been a costly nightmare for those who produce printed media. There are a number of reasons this can happen such as dirty printheads, clogged nozzles or irregular pumping of the inks into the heads. Most Printing machines deliver the ink to the media in a straight line while the heads spray the ink. Mutoh has designed a printing method called Intelligent Weaving that delivers the ink to the media in a weaving pattern with a variable dot spray pattern that reduces banding and increases print quality substantially!
